2002 Year in Review PDF Print Email

We are proud and humbled that our first year as Siegfried Dunlay Corporation has been a great success thanks to the wonderful clients we’ve had the privilege to work with, including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Cargill, Thomson Corporation, Honeywell and Target Corporation. We are every bit as excited to have worked with several smaller, start-up companies to grow their businesses as well. We helped one company launch an innovative product into the national electrical marketplace, and developed a national marketing plan for a company that provides target practice products to the government and the FBI for training purposes. And in the real estate industry, we have been retained as the agency of record to manage all of the marketing for a developer who is building a master-plan community in Ramsey, Minnesota.

Here are some highlights across our three practice areas:

As part of our Strategic Business Planning Practice Area, we:

  • assisted in acquisition planning and development of employee messages on a multi-billion dollar company’s largest acquisition;
  • developed an annual marketing plan to launch a new product into the electrical marketplace;
  • created an annual marketing plan and brand identity for a new Town Center;
  • designed an internal branding strategy for a large corporation;
  • wrote and implemented a strategic business plan to exit a national business line; and
  • managed a labor negotiations communications strategy that included bargaining meeting participation and spokesperson responsibility.

In our Public Relations and Reputation Management Practice Area, we:

  • conducted a national publicity campaign to promote a product and reached over 10 million homeowners with strategic messages;
  • managed media relationships with the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, House Beautiful, Home and Garden, USA Today, The Today Show and a multitude of trade magazines in many industries;
    delivered media training for a range of clients including political candidates;
  • managed all strategic communication elements of a North American product recall crisis working in concert with the Consumer Product Safety Commission and acted as company spokesperson;
  • wrote press releases, media advisories, technical articles, case studies and advertorials; and
  • Served as company spokesperson with national and local media for several of our clients.

Within our Leadership Effectiveness Practice Area, we:

  • participated in development of a business transformation plan and coached the executive throughout the launch;
  • created a presentation that was delivered to the Board of Directors of a Fortune 100 company;
  • developed an employee communication plan with leadership communication strategies for a large manufacturing company;
  • developed the strategy for and launched a monthly employee newsletter with leadership messages as an important element of the content;
  • created an executive presentation delivered to the CEO of a $25 billion company; and
  • wrote an executive video script for the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company to deliver leadership messages across business units.

We are grateful for the business we have with all of our clients, and we’re delighted to be starting the second year of our business with incredible enthusiasm and momentum. Siegfried Dunlay is committed to maintaining the same high standards for our work that our clients have come to expect.

Our philosophy is one of personal involvement—the firm’s two principals are intimately involved in every aspect of the work we deliver, bringing more than 40 years of business expertise to our clients. We look forward to another great year in helping our clients achieve their business goals through effective business, marketing and communication strategies.

Warmly,

Barbara and Janell
